Vatnajökull National Park

Plitvice National Park

This Park is located in Croatia and is also the largest in the whole country.  A true explosion of the beauty of a preserved nature, Plitvice Park covers nearly 296 km².  The park has been open since 1949 and is very famous for its beautiful virgin forests.  The landscape of the park is of unparalleled beauty, due to the sixteen lakes it shelters, which are moreover linked to each other by lovely waterfalls.

Triglav National Park

This Park is located in the north-west of the Republic of Slovenia.  It is also the only national park in the country.  Open since 1981, Triglav Park contains mountains, beautiful lakes and spectacular valleys.  The park is the dreamed location for all hiking and climbing enthusiasts.

Jotunheimen National Park

Jotunheimen National Park is located in eastern Norway.  According to popular legend, the park was once the residence of the trolls (the Joter).  The park has an extremely mountainous landscape.  Moreover the highest mountain of the country is there.  However, you will not see all mountains there.  It is also possible to admire lakes, rivers, and even massive glaciers.  The park is also home to a fairly varied fauna and is suitable for climbing, rafting or horseback riding.

Hoge Veluwe National Park

The Hoge Veluwe National Park is located in the Netherlands.  Located in the heart of the country, it is one of the biggest attractions in the Netherlands.  Originally, it was to serve as a hunting park.  It is made up of varied landscapes ranging from sand dunes to the largest forests.  The reserve is home to many animals, as well as a very rich flora.

Other parks such as Oulanka Park in Finland or Snowdonia Park in Wales are also very beautiful.
